If my child turns 3 after September 1st, can they enroll in the afternoon 3-year-old class?
The child will need to register to enroll the following year.
If my child turns 4 after September 1st, can they enroll in the morning 4-year-old class?
The child will need to register to enroll in the afternoon class dedicated to three and four-year-olds.
When can I enroll my child for the following year?
Registration for current three-year-olds opens on April 1st. April 15th is the open waitlisted 3-year-olds. May 1st is open registration for all other applicants.
If I have two children in the program, can I get a reduced rate?
Yes! NPA offers families with two or more children enrolled in the program one full tuition for the first child and receives a 20% reduction in fees for any additional children.
If I turned in my child’s immunizations and birth certificate for the 3-year-old class, do I still need to provide them for 4-year-old enrollment?
Yes, this complies with our policy to provide the required documents for each enrollment period and student. This is following the State of Alaska CCPO requirements.
If my child misses several days, can I pay a lower rate?
The tuition is a flat monthly fee, regardless of the number of school days. For further clarification please revisit the Parent Handbook.
If my child enrolls before or after the first of the month can I pay a lower rate?

Can I drop off my child before 7:50 or 12:50?
Doors open 10 minutes before class, with no exceptions.
Are scholarships available?
Yes! There are several options for scholarships:
The State of Alaska Child Care Assistance Program provides assistance with child care expenses for eligible families who are working or participating in an education or training program. Find more information on their website: https://health.alaska.gov/dpa/Pages/ccare/families.aspx
The Migrant Education Program provides benefits and services to eligible children who participate/accompany their families in travel for subsistence activities and commercial fishing. The program also provides indirect benefits to all students in the district by increasing other federal/state monies.
Tribal members enrolled with the Nome Eskimo Community can apply for their scholarship.
Nome Preschool offers scholarship opportunities.
